AI Toolkit Pro Tutorials

Step-by-step WordPress AI walkthroughs based on the actual AI Toolkit Pro 4.1.0 plugin — from first setup to content generation, internal linking, Image Studio, chat, roles and more.

Start here if you’re new: Install the plugin, connect OpenAI or Anthropic Claude, enable the modules you need, then follow the individual tutorials below for each workflow.
Getting Started

How to Install and Set Up AI Toolkit Pro

AI Toolkit Pro includes a five-step setup wizard that appears after a normal single-plugin activation. The wizard is a convenience layer — anything you choose there can be changed later.

1

Upload and activate

Go to WordPress Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the AI Toolkit Pro ZIP and activate it.

2

Open the Setup Wizard

The wizard opens automatically after a normal single-plugin activation. You can also reopen it later from the AI Toolkit Dashboard.

3

Connect a provider

Choose OpenAI or Anthropic Claude, enter the relevant API key and use the built-in Test API Key check.

4

Choose features

Select the modules you want enabled. These can be changed later in AI Toolkit → Module Manager.

5

Finish and start using the tools

The final screen shows useful shortcodes for front-end workspaces.

Tip: The Setup Wizard can be reopened later, so there is no need to get every choice perfect on the first run.
Provider Setup

How to Connect OpenAI

AI Toolkit Pro can use OpenAI as the active provider for Writer, Translation, Chat Assistant, Moderation, Blog Writer and AI Pro Tools.

  1. Open AI Toolkit → Settings → AI Provider.
  2. Select OpenAI.
  3. Enter your OpenAI API key.
  4. Choose the available model setting.
  5. Run Test API Key.
  6. Save the settings.
ChatGPT Plus is separate from OpenAI API billing. AI Toolkit Pro uses API credentials, not your ChatGPT Plus subscription.
Provider Setup

How to Connect Anthropic Claude

You can keep both providers’ credentials saved and switch the active provider without re-entering the other provider’s key.

  1. Open AI Toolkit → Settings → AI Provider.
  2. Select Anthropic.
  3. Enter your Anthropic API key.
  4. Choose the available Claude model setting.
  5. Run Test API Key.
  6. Save the settings.
Once Anthropic is active, supported AI Toolkit Pro features automatically use Claude without separate configuration for each module.
Writing

How to Use AI Writer

AI Writer is designed for turning rough notes into more polished copy such as bios, listings, blurbs and page content.

  1. Enable AI Writer in Module Manager.
  2. Create or edit a WordPress page.
  3. Add a Shortcode block.
  4. Insert the AI Writer shortcode.
  5. Publish the page and enter rough notes into the live workspace.

AI Writer generation is always free and unlimited in version 4.1.0.
Blogging

How to Create an Article With Blog Writer

Blog Writer creates complete article drafts from a topic and supports short, medium and long presets.

  1. Open AI Toolkit → Blog Writer.
  2. Enter your article topic.
  3. Add a Target Keyword if useful.
  4. Add Additional Context if the article needs specific direction.
  5. Choose a length of roughly 800, 1,200 or 1,800 words.
  6. Generate the article.
  7. Review it and use Copy HTML, Copy Text or Create WP Draft.
Generate and regenerate as much as you like. Creating a WordPress draft is the committed action that counts toward the free save allowance.
Content Pipeline

How to Generate Multiple Articles With Batch Content

Batch Content reuses the Blog Writer generation logic but processes multiple topics in the background using WP-Cron.

  1. Open AI Toolkit → Batch Content.
  2. Enter one topic per line.
  3. Optionally include a keyword and tone with each topic.
  4. Submit the batch.
  5. Let WordPress process the queue in the background.
  6. Review generated results.
The current version supports up to 50 topics per submission. Free users receive full generated previews; Pro can turn generated results into WordPress drafts.
SEO Workflow

How to Use the Internal Linking Assistant

The Internal Linking Assistant works inside the WordPress editor and compares the current post with other published posts.

  1. Open a post in the Block Editor or Classic Editor.
  2. Add anchor keywords to relevant published posts when useful.
  3. Open the Internal Linking panel.
  4. Click Scan for Links.
  5. Review the suggested matches.
  6. In the Block Editor, approve or ignore suggestions individually.
If a post has no anchor keywords, its title is used as the fallback. Scanning is free and unlimited; applying approved suggestions is a Pro action.
Image Studio

How to Use AI Image Studio

Image Studio helps turn a visual idea into a structured image-generation package rather than only a single prompt.

  1. Enable AI Pro Tools / Image Studio.
  2. Open the AI Pro Tools workspace or place the Image Studio shortcode on a page.
  3. Describe the image you want.
  4. Generate the Image Studio result.
  5. Review the AI prompt, negative prompt and supporting image metadata.
  6. Save the result if you want it added to History.
[aitk_image_prompt]

Image Studio can generate supporting fields such as SEO filename, alt text, title, caption, WordPress media description, SEO keywords, OG image title/description and social-post text.

Generation and regeneration are unlimited. The first 3 Image Studio saves are free; Pro removes that save limit.
Chat

How to Add Chat Assistant to a WordPress Page

The Chat Assistant is a front-end conversational AI workspace that defaults to the site’s own name rather than agency branding.

  1. Enable Chat Assistant in Module Manager.
  2. Create a WordPress page.
  3. Add a Shortcode block.
  4. Insert the Chat Assistant shortcode.
  5. Publish the page.

The free tier allows 20 successful messages per day site-wide. Failed provider/API calls do not consume one of those successful-message allowances.
Permissions

How to Give Editors or Staff Access to AI Tools

Role Permissions lets you delegate selected AI workspaces without promoting someone to Administrator.

  1. Open AI Toolkit → Role Permissions.
  2. Select the WordPress role you want to configure.
  3. Grant access to AI Writer, AI Blog Writer and/or AI Pro Tools.
  4. Save the role permissions.
  5. Sign in as that role to verify the scoped Dashboard.
Settings, License, Module Manager, History and Analytics remain Administrator-only because they can expose API credentials, billing controls or other users’ usage data.
Modules

How to Enable or Disable AI Modules

Module Manager lets you keep the plugin focused on the features your site actually uses.

  1. Open AI Toolkit → Module Manager.
  2. Review registered modules and their current running status.
  3. Enable the features you need.
  4. Disable modules you do not plan to expose.

AI Pro Tools sub-features such as SEO Studio, Image Studio, Reply Generator, Prompt Library and Dating Profile Builder share one underlying Pro Tools module rather than operating as completely independent plugins.

Free vs Pro

How the Free Tier Works

Version 4.1.0 is built around a commit-action model: generation is broadly free, while selected save, apply, publish or continued-usage actions have limits.

  • AI Writer: unlimited.
  • Translation: unlimited.
  • Comment Moderation: unlimited.
  • Prompt Library: unlimited.
  • Chat Assistant: 20 messages/day site-wide.
  • Blog Writer: unlimited generation; first 3 WP draft saves free.
  • Batch Content: full generated previews free; Pro publishes as drafts.
  • Internal Linking: unlimited scans; Pro applies approved suggestions.
  • AI Pro Tools: unlimited generation; selected save buckets are limited on Free.
Open AI Toolkit → Upgrade inside WordPress to see the live remaining quota for limited features.
